Abasolo Ancestral Corn Whiskey is made and distilled from the finest non-GMO Cacahuazintle corn, grown for generations by indigenous farmers for its special, exceptional flavour. Through the unique use of nixtamalisation - a 4000-year-old cooking technique - the deepest notes of these ancient ingredients are revealed. The result is a rich and smooth whisky with notes of toasted grain, vanilla and honey.
The gentle touch of oak provides a welcome but not overpowering complement to the spice flavours that round out the profile. Notes include roasted hay, roasted chestnuts, white pepper, elote, caramel and almond extract.
