Vermouth Routin, an emblematic specialty of the Alps, was created in 1883 in Chambéry, in the Duchy of Savoy. This historic brand bears the name of its inventor. For more than 130 years, Routin has adhered to its original recipe. Vermouth Routin Original Rouge was the first recipe ever created by Philibert Routin and remains the hallmark of his heritage.

TASTING NOTES

Vermouth Routin Original Rouge is made from a perfect blend of 24 herbs and spices macerated for up to four weeks in Vin de Savoie made from Jacquère, a grape variety native to the region. Vermouth Routin Original Rouge owes its special taste to a unique aging process. The finished vermouth is aged in oak barrels from the Tronçais forest for six months. To achieve the desired balance for the final bottling, the aged vermouth is blended in equal parts with the unaged vermouth.

HOW TO SERVE

Vermouth Routin Original Rouge is traditionally served with ice and orange decoration (wheel or peel). It is also excellent in cocktails.
